From August 1 to 3, China Energy Chairman Wang Xiangxi visited Qinghai to attend the Promotional Conference for Central SOEs’ Aid in Qinghai’s Poverty Alleviation held in the provincial capital of Xining, pay a visit to the staff of China Energy’s Qinghai Branch and inspect the group’s poverty alleviation work in Gangcha County, Haibei Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, alongside Bian Baochi, head of the Discipline Inspection and Supervision Team of the group.
The Promotional Conference for Central SOEs’ Aid in Qinghai’s Poverty Alleviation took place on the morning of August 2. The meeting was hosted by Ren Hongbin, vice chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), and addressed by Liu Ning, governor of Qinghai, Hao Peng, chairman of SASAC, and Wang Jianjun, secretary of Party Committee of Qinghai Province and president of the Standing Committee of Qinghai Provincial People’s Congress. Executives from four central SOEs and two representatives of SOE employees working in Qinghai to aid poverty relief also spoke at the meeting. In his speech, Wang Xiangxi focused on the achievements made by China Energy in targeted poverty relief in Qinghai.
On August 3, Wang Xiangxi and Bian Baochi made an inspection tour of Gangcha County to which China Energy provides paired-up aid. There, they inspected the aid projects of vegetable greenhouses, a Tibetan medicinal bathing center and the ethnic cultural tourism and performing center of Gangcha County, and gained an understanding of the construction progress of the projects, the welfare of beneficiary households and the prospects of the projects. Wang also met with heads and representatives of China Energy’s aid staff from Qumalai County, Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, encouraging them to make greater accomplishments. China Energy attaches high importance to the work of poverty alleviation, he noted, and will continue to make joint efforts with local governments and companies in providing paired-up aid to Gangcha County.
